Terms, the short version

These are the ground rules for using dailyfocusritual.com. They're short, they're in plain English, and there's nothing sneaky in them. By using the site, you agree to them.

Who runs this site

This is not medical advice

Everything on this site — articles, the guide, the newsletter, the audio — is general wellness and productivity information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor. If you have a health concern of any kind, please talk to a qualified professional. Nothing here should ever delay you from doing that.

About the audio — please actually read this one

The audio on this site and in the Focus Kit is a relaxation and focus aid. That's it. It makes no medical or therapeutic claims, and results vary from person to person.

A few common-sense safety rules:

• Keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially with headphones. Your ears will thank you.
• Never listen while driving, cycling, or operating machinery. These tracks are designed to shift your attention — that's the opposite of what traffic needs from you.
• If you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, or photosensitivity, are pregnant, or use a pacemaker, talk to a doctor before using binaural audio — I mean it. You'll find a caution on the Focus Kit page as well.
• If you feel dizzy, uncomfortable, or unwell while listening, stop.

Buying the Focus Kit — Gumroad is the seller

The Focus Kit is sold through Gumroad, Inc. (USA), which acts as the merchant of record. In plain terms: when you buy, your contract is with Gumroad, not with this site. Gumroad handles payment, VAT, delivery of the files, and refunds — all under Gumroad's terms and its own refund policy. This site links to the checkout but makes no promises about refunds or purchase terms beyond what Gumroad states.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links (for example, through ClickBank). If you buy something after clicking one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you buy through an affiliate link, the seller is the third-party vendor, and their terms apply to your purchase. Affiliate links are disclosed near the buttons and in the footer, because that's how it should be.

The free tools

The focus timer and sound mixer are free utilities that run entirely in your browser. They are provided as-is: I do my best to keep them working, but I can't guarantee they'll be available, uninterrupted, or bug-free at all times.

Intellectual property

The content on this site — text, guide, graphics, and audio — is owned by the operator and protected by copyright. You're welcome to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't copy, redistribute, resell, or upload it elsewhere without written permission. If you want to share something, link to it — links make the internet go round.

No warranties, limited liability

The site and its free content and tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, I am not liable for damages arising from your use of the free content or tools. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep all mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in — these terms don't touch those.
